Absolut Bowie

So I guess David Bowie is doing ads for Absolut Vodka now... On the back of this week's New York Times Magazine is a picture of Ol' Leather Pants himself in angular red and blue makeup, looking very glam, really. Caption says, you guessed it, "Absolut Bowie".

Well, there are worse people to associate with vodka, I suppose.

Finally had the pleasure of conversing with cheapdialogue last night. He IM'd me out of the blue and we ended up talking for three or four hours. I had wanted to get to meet him, but didn't think I'd have the chance until I made it up to Bellingham next. We spent our time semi-cautiously feeling one another out, and hit it off quite well, really. He can twist the tail of the English beast quite effectively, and he seems like a decent sort, as well as being tasteful and well read from what I've seen so far. So.

Mnargh. I'm tired. My mother is taking me to see the new John Cusack movie in an hour or so; that'll be nice.

I gather Tryn hits town today. I hope I get to meet him before he heads up to Bellingham.

The phrase "don't do anything I wouldn't do" has been getting awfully non-inclusive for me lately. Whee!
