Ladies and gentlemen, there is something I do not understand.

Could someone please explain to me the purpose of the leather covers people often strap to the hoods of their vehicles? I've never heard of cars trying to mate with other cars, so I don't see the point of prophylactic devices for automobiles.

I only ask because this morning in the parking garage I saw a minivan with a car condom. Minivans have tiny front hoods. I laughed all the way to my desk...
