I just had a very, very lengthy conversation with Selena, in which we both aired various concerns we've been having. Nothing horrible, mind you, just the vagaries of personal communication, distance and time, and aspects of our relationship. We have, I think, come to some degree of resolution.

At least I think so. I hope so. And I hope she'll tell me if she disagrees.

It's 2:18 AM, I'm listening to Beborn Beton, and i am reasonably drunk. Again.

I've done that a lot this week. Far, far more than usual. I don't know what the deal is. But it has been.

I... feel many things right now. I hope my visit to Selena goes well, most of all. We're at a delicate stage of things, and I want our delirious happiness to continue. She's so terribly, terribly important to me...

Bah, I can tell I'll make no sense tonight. Good night.

ups and downs.

Downs:

1) The code that I thought was working, that I had tested and seemed to be working, that was due today, broke when my boss tried to run it on his machine. Thus, Bjorn panics and works furiously.

2) I'm twitchy and nervous about my parents coming home today.

Ups:

1) Selena is wonderful. (But you know that.)

2) I GOT MY CHAIR. After you're at F5 for six months, you get one of those uber-nifty-keen Aeron chairs. The improvement over the little conference-room chair I had been using is tremendous.

whew.

Things are calming down at work; I've got my stuff more or less working. A bit heavy on the "more or less", but good enough for now. My brain has reached the saturation point...

And I get shivers when I think about tomorrow. Excitement, anticipation, quite a bit of nervousness -- I get nervous about anything truly important to me, no matter how sure it may be -- and the frisson of remembered pleasure and happiness.
