You know what I hate about working in the computer industry?

I'm not brilliant.

I'm just sort of okay.

career dissatisfaction

I went to a "job fair" today. I call it a "job fair" because, despite the fact that it's touted by recruitment sites such as BrassRing, there were only FOUR exhibitors, TWO of which -- Expedia.com and the Cobalt Group -- were actually hiring anyone.

I spent three hours there, of which only twenty minutes was spent actually talking to real people. The rest of it was spent standing in line behind hundreds of applicants.

I have a really bad feeling about this.
