smileloki treated me to an utterly extravagant dinner at Canlis, once again proving that the way to a man's heart is through the stomach (not beneath the ribs and up as some would have it).
I had:
Stolichnaya (on the rocks, with lime)
Wasyugyu Steak tartare
'00 Ravenswood Merlot
Spring greens and radish salad
Peppered filet mignon with fois gras, string beans and garlic mashed potatoes
Dessert sampler: Guava sorbet (!!), creme brulee and a truffle
A selection of various cheeses
Canlis has wonderful atmosphere, and the conversation and company were delightful. Thank you, love.
