I found a rather interesting scholarly essay on the philosophical implications of nanoscience entitled Living with Uncertainty: Toward the Ongoing Normative Assessment of Nanotechnology.

From the article:

The major stumbling block…turns out to be our common conception of the future as unreal…If the future is not real, then it is not something that we can have cognizance of. If the future is not real, then it is not something that projects its shadow onto the present.

The critlang quotient is very high, but there is some worthwhile stuff in there.)

And finally, an acquaintance on IRC noticed the following: If you look carefully at the FedEx logo -- specifically the "ex" part -- you'll notice that the whitespace between the E and the X forms a neat little arrow. This arrow is aligned perfectly with the circle at the center of the D, implying that the circle is being moved off in that direction.

Perhaps even at express speeds.

Cute little easter egg? Or HIDDEN MESSGE FROM OUR CORPORATE MASTERS?

You decide.
