red fusion

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] helix90's seemingly limitless and all-powerful list of connections, contacts, hookups, allies, and influences (this time in the form of his mighty roommate Zanne, who forms the link between Xerox, Inc. and a Pepsi bottling company), I have acquired a s00p3r-s33kr1t sample of an experimental Pepsi product known as Doctor Pepper: Red Fusion. It's cherry Doctor Pepper.

It's really good, actually. It is a slightly duller red than cranberry juice, and tastes a lot like cherry cola, but without any trace of the weird cola after-taste. I'm all for this getting marketed.

I hate to tell you, but I think it's already out. I'm not for sure, but I remember one of my friends talking about trying it the other day and asking me if I have.

Ooooh. I used to mix Dr. Pepper and cherry cola together when I was a kid, so I'd love that. I hope it's marketed, and that it does well so it's out long enough for me to actually be able to try it.

Please post if you hear anything about it being mass distributed! :>

experimental? Maybe DC just got picked out as the test market, but a few groceries around here have carried the thing for weeks. On the other hand, we were also ones of the very first people to see Pepsi Twist, way back in December of last year.
