kespernorthWell, I got a reply from the VP to my email about consulting.
He expressed his regret that he didn't get to say goodbye before I got sent off, and said that I was the very last one out of 17 people from Product Development to be laid off. He wrote:
"You should know that you did a great job here and everyone was very pleased with your work. You can't take this personally because there is nothing you could have done to prevent it."
And he's willing to be a reference for me.
No consulting, though, they're too strapped for cash. But it was a nice letter all the same. Ah well, it was an idea. And the note was a good and much-needed ego boost.
