When she first moved out here, Allyson pointed out that there was something depressingly bland about the motto on Washington license plates. Her car was registered in New Hampshire, which has a very good motto indeed, and so she said something like this:

"That Evergreen State thing is so lame. New Hampshire has 'LIVE FREE OR DIE!'... and Washington just says 'Uh... we have trees...'"
