it's a rainy tuesday morning in seattle. liquid sunshine, they call it, and laugh, and sip their mochas.

the air is wet and warm and sweet, full of the blooming scent of a thousand flowers. there is a tree that hangs over my parents' driveway which blooms at night, large white blossoms the size of my palm, and smells sweeter than anything i can remember. it should smell like that everywhere, this time of year.

i want to drive to the ocean, right this very moment. (the fact that f5 is located on the wharf is irrelevant.) i want to drive to the ocean, where the forest meets the beach, and stand on it, staring at the sea, on a day like today, long coat ruffling slightly in the breeze, mist falling like a spell. i want to breathe in that smell, that gorgeous smell of spring and green and new, and enjoy the sweet fleeting time of warmth.

these are my seasons, spring and summer.

*******************************

the drive was still pleasant, as i managed to miss most of the morning traffic.

A lot went on in my head, last night.

I also had it thrown in my face yet again that [livejournal.com profile] wendolen is one smart cookie, and [livejournal.com profile] kinfae is the soul of honor and nobility, even if her honor and nobility sometimes clashes with mine, since we both have the urge to save the other from things. That's why only half of the relationship is supposed to be chivalrous, you see...

I love her very much, and I hope I get to remain with her.

Well, you were sort of a speed bump in the post on the way to Kinfae. For Bjorn, all paths lead to kinfae.

not sure about the entire mocha thing,
apart from that you've got it right.

When you go, let me know. I'm there.

But the Sound is not the ocean, and the bay is hardly the Sound.

I've had a real yen for the ocean, too, since the equinox or so. I tend to end up there at night, though...

But sir, surely you would not be so unchivalrous as to deprive me of my own right to possess such a quality..

*ducks and smiles*

It does sound beautiful out there, though. I think I may have passed through Seattle too quickly, last time..and missed out on a lot of the beauty you see there. Though I did get down to look at the bay in the early morning light..it was still in the midst of city, and thus not quite the same.

It Is Spring.....

I love this time of year as well... When the humidity evelops the morning with mist & rain, then the sunshine brightens the second half of the day. I miss the ocean too. You should drive to the coast just for One Day & experience the fun again!
