happy geek

I just got my new cellphone! It's a Nokia 8260, sort of a dark silvery grey, and it's about as long and wide as a pack of Camel Turkish Gold 100's, and about half as deep. TINY.

I have to wait for it to charge before I can use it. Don't know how long that will take.

My phone number will go to those who need it. :)

Charge it for 24 hours.

I know that sucks, but if you have a NiCad battery, it's the only way to condition it so that you can use it to full later.

And make sure that for the first three times, you drain it all the way down until it complains "low battery" before you charge it again. Otherwise it will develop a memory.

*crie*

but if i charge it for 24 hours, that means i can't call selena tonight! and i'd have to drive all the way in to work to pick it up tomorrow before i head north...

and doesn't it say "battery full" before that?

it will. but she knows what she's talkin' about. full 24 hrs. feel free to not... if you don't charge it up for the full 24 hrs, make certain that you let it drain to where it says "discharging" for the next three times.
