getting better
Feb. 28th, 2002 10:56 amThe project is finally coming together. All the bugs we've found so far seem to be fixed, but now it has to go to another tester for verification, followed by 3 days of verification testing. Bleah. But it's coming together, and I've started work on my next project, which will be a great deal simpler, and implemented in Perl for UNIX, two things which I adore and am very good at.
Also, a friend of mine was recently awarded grants by 3 corporations to start a network security consulting corporation. He's interested in me as a UNIX administration/security consultant, since he mostly deals with web and windows-related security issues. It wouldn't be a full-time thing or an on-site thing, and I certainly don't want to give up my beloved job at F5, but it would be interesting, and I'd learn a *lot*. So that could be cool and exciting.
