car trouble, episode xvii

So my brakes have been squealing a lot lately. I finally took the car in to have them looked at, and learned that

some incompetent sea monkey with coral for brains

replaced my brake pads without also re-machining the rotors. (Whenever you replace brake pads, you have to machine the rotors they attatch to a bit to fit the brake pad. (Why they don't come properly toleranced already, I don't know, especially since this means you have to replace your rotors every so often, and that costs vast sums of money).

How you forget something like that, I have no idea.
But it cost me $200 to fix the front set, and will cost me another $118 to fix the back set. I'm gonna bitch to the dealership.
